Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team. Based at our headquarters in Port Coquitlam, BC, the account manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction while driving sales growth. This role focuses on advancing sales pipeline opportunities, supporting customer success, and actively communicating and engaging with customers and prospects to strengthen the company’s market presence. The Account Manager also plays a key role in strategically aligning sales and marketing functions to maximize business impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process new sales leads and ensure timely follow-up.
- Answer RFQs and tenders.
- Track and manage opportunities through all stages of the sales pipeline.
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent communication and satisfaction.
- Create detailed sales quotes based on the unique technical requirements of each project.
- Participate in and lead customer video calls, presenting product information and solutions.
- Provide superior customer service by developing, servicing, and growing relationships with clients.
- Develop sales strategies, negotiate terms, and assist in training and developing their sales teams.
- Record and maintain accurate and timely data entry in the CRM system.
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports for management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions.
- Liaise with engineering and production departments to ensure the viability of customer specifications and requirements.
- Conduct research on competitive intelligence to stay informed about market trends and competitors.
- Answer incoming calls and assist with customer inquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and new markets.
- Participate in internal sales meetings and provide regular updates on account performance.
- Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns, tradeshows, and promotional activities to generate leads.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Education: Post-secondary education in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand complex product specifications.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-starter attitude with a desire to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Nice to have/Preferred:
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite.).
- Experience in the marine or defense sector
- Additional languages are an asset.

Salary Range
$60,000 – $80,000 annually, with potential for higher compensation for exceptional qualifications and experience.
