Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled, people-oriented, versatile project manager to join our Product Development team. This role covers a range of responsibilities, working closely with the Development Team Leads to manage technical projects, secure resources for ongoing R&D, and facilitate communication between multiple departments. In this role, the successful candidate will:

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with project stakeholders, technical staff, and customers to manage complex development projects across the complete project lifecycle, including project initiation, technical design, testing, documentation, and handoff
• Be responsible for driving projects to meet appropriate timelines and deliverables
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure common understanding of project goals, scope, priorities, and details
• Form project objectives and milestones, communicate changes, track progress, and review project performance
• Provide managerial insight to feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed developments
• Write project reports and communicate with funding sources
• Oversee aspects of Product deployment, having an end-user and deliverable-focused perspective
• Maintain and improve processes for design records, change requests, and overall communication
• Strengthen company compliance to ISO 9001 quality management systems

Requirements and Skills:

• 1+ years experience in a project management or closely related role, preferably in a technical and/or product development environment
• Familiarity with waterfall and agile management methodologies
• Experience with project management tools and concepts (e.g., Kanban, Gantt, Jira, Clickup, etc.)
• Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tasks
• Passion for enabling others to excel in their job role and commitment to shared success
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Strong organizational skills and ability to initiate/manage value-adding projects
• Ability to bring creativity and positivity to problem-solving in high-pressure situations
• Core technical literacy (computer terminology, office software, technical reporting, etc.)
• Ability to distill and present complex information in a clear and concise manner (spoken and written)

Additional Beneficial Skills:

• PMP certification or equivalent work experience (please have references ready)
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management processes
• Experience in a customer-service or client-focused role
• Experience with engineering and manufacturing processes (Lean, ISO, etc.) and standards (MIL-STD, IEC, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware, motors, electronics, software development, etc.
• Additional spoken and/or written languages

Salary: $55,000 to $85,000 + benefits
