We are looking for an ambitious and talented web app developer to join our growing Current AI team! As part of this new initiative from Current Scientific, you will be working on the cutting edge of hardware and AI technology. Your primary responsibility will be a new web app presenting an AI-powered view of the water, made possible by Current Scientific’s advanced thermal cameras and ML detection/tracking algorithms. The ideal candidate has strong UI/UX design skills, a deep understanding of web technologies, and familiarity with ML/AI concepts. If you enjoy pushing the limits of what is possible, excel in the unique and unexplored, and want to help build a real product that brings real value to real people, you'll want to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop internal and external web apps featuring real-time and playback video
  • Collaborate with ML and backend developers
  • Work with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Define scalable, secure, and maintainable code architectures
  • Integrate internal and external APIs, libraries, and frameworks with web apps
  • Review and document code
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, computer vision, and web technologies 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, or similar
  • 3+ years of web site/app development
  • Web languages (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Frontend web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
  • UI/UX design
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
  • Written and oral communication in English
