Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Manufacturing Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role building and testing our electro-optical camera systems for reliable operation and serviceability in harsh environments.
Responsibilities:
- Using company provided standard operating procedures:

- Assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies
- Upload firmware, electrically configure, and QA circuit boards and camera components
- Perform basic functionality tests on assembled camera system
- Perform mechanical alignment of cameras components
- If qualified: perform troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical subassemblies
Requirements and Skills:
- Required: Grade 12 diploma
- Preferred: Diploma in technological field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics) or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Required: Valid Canadian work permit or resident/citizen status
- Ability to use basic hand tools to assemble mechanical and electrical items
- Ability to excel in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and tasks
- Willingness and ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of precision
- Productive self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision to meet demanding deliverables
Additional Beneficial Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in mechanical troubleshooting related to fit and tolerances
- Experience or knowledge in electrical troubleshooting related to wiring and electrical noise
- Experience with testing equipment such as multimeters, network testers, or pressure gauges
- Ability to understand electrical and/or mechanical drawings
- Experience manufacturing harnesses or circuit boards using a combination of soldering and crimping
- Experience using power tools such as drill presses, sanders etc. to alter items
- SolidWorks experience
Salary: $45,000 - $65,000; dependent on skills and experience level
