Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive, process-oriented team player to take ownership of our design documentation and the related systems that bring our products to life. This role will begin with improving and maintaining technical documentation within our Mechanical Design team (assembly manuals, work instructions, SOPs). Over time, it will grow into a production support and sustaining engineering role, where you will help resolve issues, improve processes, and implement practical solutions on the production floor. In this role, you will work between engineering and production teams to ensure that what is designed can be built reliably, consistently, and efficiently. (Growth Role)

You’ll Be Doing
Phase 1 (Initial Focus):

  • Clean up and standardize existing assembly manuals
  • Identify missing steps, unclear instructions, and inconsistencies
  • Work with engineers and production to clarify gaps
  • Improve documentation structure and usability

As You Grow Into the Role:

  • Support production by troubleshooting build issues
  • Identify recurring problems and propose improvements
  • Design simple jigs, fixtures, or process changes
  • Implement approved updates to existing systems
  • Develop documentation that reflects real-world best practices
  • Help define and standardize workflows to support scaling

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong mechanical intuition and comfort with technical systems
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, BOMs, and assemblies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical communication
  • High attention to detail and consistency
  • Someone who naturally follows through and closes loops
  • Comfortable asking questions and challenging unclear processes
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
  • MCAD familiarity (SolidWorks or similar)

Nice to Have:

  • Background in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or manufacturing
  • Experience in production, assembly, or process improvement
  • Experience creating or improving technical documentation

Who This Role Is NOT For:

  • Someone looking to focus on high-level design or R&D
  • Someone who prefers starting new projects over finishing existing ones
  • Someone who dislikes refining, improving, and standardizing systems
